Mr. Beer Belly Goes Global

Wow! I was just looking at this site’s analytics (okay, so I don’t have a life). It appears that MrBeerBelly.com is starting to get a lot of visitors. (Thank you everyone!)

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. As far as I can tell, beer is the “Official Beverage of Planet Earth”. Just go to BevMo and you’ll see that just about every country on the planet has their own brand.

Hell, there is even one bar in Laughlin, Nevada with 100 different beers. If you can finish them all (presumably not in one sitting) they will shake your hand,  put your picture on the wall and buy you diner. And don’t be surprised that after all that beer they probably seat you in the VIP leather seat at the $100 roulette table nearest the ATM machine.

Personally, I’m rather fond of the German translation. “Herr Beer Belly”. That sounds like my “Hogan’s Heroes” name!
